DON'T JUDGE ME

ABOUT

Meet Leah. You won’t know her. You may never know her in the real world. That won’t stop you forming an opinion though I’m sure. She’s a woman. She’s a daughter. She’s a wife. She’s a consultant. She’s black. She’s an employer. She’s the same as you too. She’s human. She’s also joint owner of the largest classic Jensen specialists too.

I first met Leah back in 2017 when looking to shoot some dynamic shots of the classic Jensen Interceptor. An oily workshop isn’t the first place you’d expect to see someone so well dressed. Or hands on either. ‘I had to learn so I needed to get my hands dirty and understand everything about the cars, the business and the industry. Overalls just don’t suit me!’

RESPECT ME FOR WHAT I CAN DO

First and foremost Leah is all business. Whether that is in her consultancy practice or at Cropredy Bridge. 'I just love what I do and I try to do it all professionally. That's all I want back, professionalism. Anything more is a bonus.' While sexism, racism, prejudices and everything else is something she is no stranger too, she just wants to be on a level playing field. It isn't always easy and there are many other projects that she is involved with that will redress the balance of those issues in time. 'It isn't that I don't care or have time to go to those tables to cry for equality but I'm busy building my own table now. I'll just invite people to join me at mine instead.' Good idea Leah. I'll meet you there.
