Other days, nothing. Just white noise blowing between my ears. My idea journal has everything in it from locations, people, projects, big productions down to a single word. A lot of the ideas are a total waste of time but occasionally, an idea forms, a phone call is made and the next thing you know, its all happened.
Christmas last year was a prime example. I wanted to shoot in the snow but Britain was a mass of grey lumpen drizzle (for a change). But I liked the idea of someone going out delivering their presents in a ‘lets-get-this-Christmas-crap-done’ way. A phone call, some dodgy wrapping of tools and boxes and a classic Jaguar later, we had it done. A bit of fun, it went out on the Classic Driver Instagram feed on Christmas eve and was very well received.
