That much I do remember. There was a plan underway to shoot a new British car ahead of its launch at the Geneva motor show and yours truly had a couple of days to get some content. Day one was to be at the factory and day two at the circuit where it was to be filmed and I’d be getting some additional content and behind the scenes images of the film crew.

Has anyone seen the photographer?

Long story short, it went well right up until I went after that elusive, ‘one more shot’ and missed a slightly pertinent safety check. The result? A dented head, dented pride and a trip to Scunthorpe General A&E. Fortunately, it could have been a lot worse but I’m in one piece and so is my gear. All I really want to say here publicly is a very large thank you to all the guys at Ginetta for looking after me and James at Influence for keeping an eye on me to make sure my eyeballs didn’t roll out of my face after I’d been patched up.

And for the new moniker of the bouncing photographer, thank you!

Hope you like it. If there’s something I’ve done that you like and want to know more, drop me a line.

The door to safety swings on the hinges of common sense.
